The Artists’ League of Orange County (ALOC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization of central Florida artists working in various media. ALOC has been successfully serving the art interests and needs of the central Florida community for almost sixty years. Its membership has included many highly regarded artists throughout the years, including Charles Turzak who was President from 1965 to 1966. Since his passing in 1986, his legacy lives on in the form of an annual award for artistic merit to a deserving local ALOC artist.
We meet at 1:30 p.m. on the third Saturday of the month at Beardall Center, 800 Delaney, downtown Orlando, from September through May. Our meetings are always open to visitors and potential members, so please join us. However, to help cover demo costs, meetings with demonstrations are $5 for not-yet members. Membership to ALOC is $30 a year for members with email and $35 a year for members without (which covers the cost of mailing the monthly newsletter or blog summary).
Our current members are listed under the “Members” tab with links to some of their websites. Officers, directors and committee chairpersons are listed under the “Officers/Directors” tab. If you’d like to join our group, please contact our Treasurer, Alan Lindenmuth, at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information or fill out the ALOC Dues Form and mail it in or bring it to the next meeting.
Current member exhibition opportunities and upcoming workshops are listed under the “Art Opportunities/Venues” tab. You can keep informed about the latest news and art demos by subscribing to the ALOC blog updates. Just put your email address into the space on the sidebar and affirm the request when you receive the verification email.
Members wishing to make announcements or put one of their artworks in the above slideshow should send their information to Gayle Bell at the following address: email@example.com. The newsletter has been replaced by the ALOC blog until further notice.
ALOC members wishing to become contributors to the blog should send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and an “invitation” to participate will be sent. Once the invitation is received, you must affirm that you want to participate.
